These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PokeRoll.gg website and services operated by PokeRoll ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use PokeRoll. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We may request age verification at any time and reserve the right to suspend accounts that do not meet our eligibility criteria. See our Responsible Gaming page for more details.
Jurisdiction & Geographic Restrictions
PokeRoll is operated from the United States. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of PokeRoll is legal in your country, state, province, or territory and for complying with all laws that apply to you. We make no representation that PokeRoll or any of its features are appropriate or available for use in any particular location.
- We may restrict, block, or withdraw access to some or all of the platform in any jurisdiction, at our discretion, with or without notice.
- You may not use a VPN, proxy, Tor, or any other tool or technique to disguise your location, evade detection, or access features that are not available where you are. Doing so is a material breach of these Terms.
- You represent that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, and that you do not appear on any government restricted-party or sanctions list (including the U.S. OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list).
If we determine that you are accessing PokeRoll from a restricted location or by circumventing geographic controls, we may take the enforcement actions described in the Accounts section, including suspending your account and freezing funds, store credit, and cards pending review.
Identity Verification (KYC)
We may, at our sole discretion, require you to verify your identity at any time as a condition of using PokeRoll or any of its features. Identity verification is handled by a third-party provider and may require you to submit a government-issued ID and a selfie or biometric facial scan. How we handle this information is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may request verification for any reason, including to confirm your age or eligibility, to authorise larger deposits, sell-backs, or shipments, or where we suspect fraud, abuse, or a legal or compliance obligation. Until verification is requested and successfully completed to our satisfaction, we may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Place a hold on, restrict, or freeze some or all of the funds and store credit in your account
- Pause, delay, or decline pending and future shipment requests
- Limit, suspend, or restrict your access to some or all features of the platform
We will release any such hold once verification is completed to our satisfaction. If you do not complete verification within a reasonable period, or if verification cannot be completed, we may continue to withhold the affected funds or shipments and may take the enforcement actions described in the Accounts section. Holds applied under this section are not a penalty and do not change who owns the affected funds or cards.
Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- One account per person. You may not create, control, or use more than one PokeRoll account. Accounts are considered linked when they share an email, phone number, payment method, shipping address, device, IP address, household, or otherwise appear to be operated by the same person.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
Where we identify duplicate or linked accounts, we may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Suspend, restrict, or permanently close any or all of the linked accounts
- Revoke, reduce, or zero out store credit (including promotional credit) on any of the linked accounts
- Void pack openings, cancel pending shipments, and reclaim cards in the vault that were obtained through the duplicate accounts
- Reverse referral, starter-kit, achievement, quest, streak, influencer, top-up bonus, and other promotional rewards attributable to the duplicate accounts
- Withhold sell-back proceeds and decline future shipment requests pending review
If we suspend or close your account without cause, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to ship out or sell back the cards held in your binder, subject to identity verification and any applicable legal hold. Where an account is closed for fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or any breach of these Terms, or where we are required to act by law, that opportunity may be shortened or unavailable, and affected cards, funds, and store credit may be withheld or reclaimed as described above. Store credit has no cash value and is not redeemable for cash on closure.
Pack Openings & Purchases
PokeRoll sells randomised packs of real Pokemon TCG cards. When you purchase and open a pack:
- All pack sales are final. Once a pack is opened, the transaction cannot be reversed
- The cards you receive are determined by our provably fair system using HMAC-SHA256 cryptographic proofs
- Published drop rates and odds on each pack page are accurate and binding
- Prices are displayed in USD and charged at the time of purchase via our third-party payment processor
Assumption of Risk
Pack openings are a game of chance. By purchasing and opening a pack, you acknowledge and accept that:
- The outcome is randomised. The total market value of the cards you receive may be significantly less than the price you paid for the pack.
- Published odds describe long-run probabilities only. Past results do not guarantee or predict future outcomes.
- Packs and cards are bought for personal enjoyment and collecting, not as an investment. We make no representation that any card or your collection will hold or increase in value, and you should not purchase with an expectation of profit.
- You participate voluntarily and are solely responsible for the amounts you choose to spend.
Payments & Chargebacks
Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. Their handling of your payment is governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and they may run their own identity or fraud checks. We are not responsible for delays, failures, or errors caused by a payment processor, your card issuer, or your bank, and we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us at support@pokeroll.ggfirst so we can resolve it. Initiating a chargeback or payment reversal on a legitimate purchase — instead of contacting us — is a breach of these Terms and is grounds for the enforcement actions described in the Accounts section, including suspending your account and freezing funds, store credit, and cards while we investigate.
Payment Provider Refunds & Reversals
Our payment processors run their own risk, fraud, and compliance checks and may refund, reverse, decline, or cancel a payment at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice to us. If a payment for a pack purchase or store-credit top-up is refunded or reversed by the payment provider — whether for risk, suspected fraud, or any other reason — any store credit funded by that payment, and any cards pulled from packs paid for with it, are void. We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, reverse or zero out the affected store credit (including any sell-back proceeds traceable to it), void the related pack openings, cancel pending shipments, and reclaim the affected cards from your binder and vault, even where those cards have already been pulled, allocated, sold back, or upgraded. This applies in addition to, and does not limit, the enforcement actions described in the Accounts section.
Provably Fair System
Every pack opening uses a cryptographic commitment scheme. Before you open, we commit to a server seed by publishing its SHA-256 hash. After opening, the raw server seed is revealed so you can independently verify that the outcome was determined before you opened and was not manipulated. Cards & Vault
- Every card in the PokeRoll system is a real, physical Pokemon TCG card stored in our insured vault
- Cards in your binder are held on your behalf until you choose to ship or sell them back
- We make reasonable efforts to maintain card condition, but minor handling wear may occur during storage and shipment
- Card market values displayed are estimates based on multiple third-party price sources and are not guaranteed
Card Upgrades
The Upgrade feature lets you stake a card from your binder for a chance to receive a higher-value card. Upgrades are an optional, chance-based game mechanic. When you start an upgrade:
- The card you stake is consumed regardless of the outcome. Win or lose, the staked card leaves your binder and cannot be recovered.
- If the upgrade succeeds, the target card you selected is allocated to your binder.
- If the upgrade fails,you receive a lower-value consolation card, except where a "no-consolation" mode is in effect and clearly indicated, in which case the staked card is forfeited with nothing returned.
- The success probability for each attempt is calculated from the live market values of your staked card and the target, less a house edge, and is displayed before you commit.
Like pack openings, every upgrade is determined by our provably fair system using HMAC-SHA256. We commit to a server seed before the attempt and reveal it afterward so you can independently verify that the outcome was fixed in advance and not manipulated.
- Upgrade outcomes are final. Once an attempt is committed, it cannot be reversed, refunded, or undone.
- Cards won from an upgrade are standard cards in your binder — they may be shipped or sold back like any other card, subject to the promotional-credit restrictions below.
- Minimum card values, a minimum value premium on the target, the house edge, and probability limits apply to each attempt as published on the upgrade screen, and may change at our discretion.
- Cards that were pulled from packs paid for with promotional credit (or any free or promotional pack) generally may not be staked in an upgrade.
- Upgrades are rate-limited per account. Excessive attempts may be temporarily blocked, and we may use bots, scripts, or automation against this feature as grounds for the enforcement actions described in the Accounts section.
Sell-Back & Store Credit
- You may sell cards back to PokeRoll for store credit at the published sell-back rates
- Standard sell-back is 90% of market value and may change at our discretion
- Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
- Store credit does not expire
Promotional Store Credit
Store credit granted by PokeRoll outside of a real-money purchase — including but not limited to referral rewards, achievements, quests, streak rewards, starter kits, free packs from influencer invites, top-up bonuses, and admin or customer-service grants — is treated as promotional credit and is subject to additional restrictions:
- Cards pulled from packs paid for with promotional credit (or from any free or promotional pack) cannot be shipped
- Sell-back on those cards is capped at 10% of market value, regardless of the standard rate or value tier
- Store credit received from selling back a promotional card remains promotional and carries the same restrictions
- Promotional credit may be reduced, revoked, or withheld in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, chargebacks, or violations of these Terms
Store Credit Is Not a Deposit
Store credit and any balance held in your account are a prepaid balance redeemable only for packs, shipping, and other goods and services on PokeRoll. They are not a bank deposit, do not earn interest, and are not insured by any government deposit-insurance scheme.
We provide a service; we are not a bank, trustee, fiduciary, or financial, investment, or tax advisor, and we owe you no fiduciary duty in connection with your account, your store credit, or the cards we hold on your behalf.
Loyalty Programme
PokeRoll offers a tiered loyalty programme that rewards real-money spending. Enrolment is automatic and free — every account starts at the entry tier and climbs the ladder as you spend. Full, current tier thresholds and perks are shown on our Loyalty Tiers page.
- Your tier is based on real-money spend only— pack purchases, store-credit top-ups, and shipping fees paid through our payment processor. Promotional credit, free packs, and other promotional grants do not count toward your tier.
- Tier status is based on a rolling window of recent spend, not lifetime totals. As earlier spend ages out of that window, your tier — and the perks attached to it — may go down as well as up.
- Depending on tier, perks may include an improved sell-back rate, a boosted deposit bonus, and one-time free packs. Tier perks apply automatically once a threshold is reached.
- Loyalty sell-back bonuses are added on top of the standard tiered sell-back rate and never lift the promotional-credit sell-back cap described above.
- One-time free packs granted on first reaching a tier are credited to your account and do not expire if you later drop to a lower tier; however, re-reaching a tier does not grant them again.
- We may add, remove, or change tiers, thresholds, perks, and the spend window at our discretion. Loyalty perks have no cash value and may be reduced, revoked, or withheld in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, chargebacks, or violations of these Terms.
Taxes
You are solely responsible for determining and paying any taxes, duties, or similar government charges that apply to your purchases, sell-backs, shipments, or other activity on PokeRoll. Prices shown may not include applicable taxes. We do not provide tax advice, and we recommend you consult a tax professional about your situation. Where required by law, we may collect tax and issue tax forms or reports to you and the relevant authorities.
Shipping & Fulfillment
Shipment requests are processed within 24 hours. Delivery times vary by destination. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details on carriers, timeframes, packaging, and our policy for lost or damaged shipments.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the platform
- Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the provably fair system
- Create, control, or use multiple accounts for any reason, including to circumvent rate limits, restrictions, or eligibility checks
- Exploit promotional offers — including starter kits, referral rewards, achievements, quests, streaks, influencer free packs, top-up bonuses, and other admin or customer-service grants — by creating duplicate or linked accounts, self-referring, using disposable or alias email addresses, or otherwise farming promotional credit, free packs, or sell-back proceeds
- Misrepresent your identity, age, address, or payment details, or use another person's payment method without authorisation
- Initiate chargebacks or payment reversals on legitimate purchases instead of contacting support
- Use the platform for money laundering or other illegal activity
- Resell or commercially exploit your account or store credit
Breach of any of the above is grounds for the enforcement actions described in the Accounts section, including suspension, credit revocation, voiding of pack openings, and reclamation of cards.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PokeRoll shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to PokeRoll in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Disclaimers
- PokeRoll is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of card market values or price estimates
- We are not responsible for fluctuations in Pokemon TCG card market prices
- Service availability may be interrupted for maintenance or unforeseen circumstances
- We rely on third-party providers — including payment processors, identity verification, email, hosting, and shipping carriers — and are not responsible for delays, failures, or losses caused by them
Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PokeRoll and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: (a) your use of PokeRoll; (b) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; (c) your violation of the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; or (d) any content or information you submit. This does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud. We may assume the exclusive defence of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you agree to cooperate with us.
Intellectual Property
The PokeRoll name, logo, and website design are our property. Pokemon, Pokemon TCG, and related trademarks are the property of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and GAME FREAK inc. PokeRoll is not produced, endorsed, supported, or affiliated with these companies.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with PokeRoll, please contact us at support@pokeroll.gg first. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally. If we cannot reach a resolution, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law, except where prohibited by your local jurisdiction.
General Terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Responsible Gaming policy, Shipping & Returns policy, and Influencer Terms, are the entire agreement between you and PokeRoll and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.
- Electronic communications.You consent to receive communications from us electronically — by email, push notification, or in-app message — and agree that these satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full force and the unenforceable provision is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, labour disputes, pandemics, government action, carrier failures, or outages of internet, hosting, or third-party services.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any rights for anyone other than you and PokeRoll.
- Survival.Provisions that by their nature should survive — including those on store credit, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution — survive termination of your account.
- Time limit on claims. To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or relating to PokeRoll or these Terms must be brought within one (1) year of the date it arose, or it is permanently barred.
- Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the meaning of these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of PokeRoll after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
