Getting Started

What is PokeRoll?

PokeRoll is a gamified card shop where you purchase and open randomised packs of real, physical Pokemon TCG cards. Every card you pull is a real card stored in our insured vault that you can have shipped to your door or sell back for store credit.

How do I get started?

Create an account, browse our pack storefront, and choose a pack to open. After opening, your cards go into your binder where you can view them, request shipment, or sell them back.

Do I need to be a certain age?

Yes. You must be at least 18 years old to use PokeRoll. We collect date of birth during registration and may request additional verification.

Are the cards real?

Yes. Every card in our system is a real, physical Pokemon TCG card stored in our insured vault. When you ship, we mail you the actual card that was assigned to your pull.

Can I see the odds before buying?

Absolutely. Every pack page shows the complete drop table with exact probabilities for every card. Full transparency, always.

What are the Pokeball tiers?

Cards are grouped into Pokeball tiers based on market value: Poke Ball (under $1), Great Ball ($1–$5), Ultra Ball ($5–$25), Timer Ball ($25–$75), Premier Ball ($75–$200), and Master Ball ($200+). Higher tiers are rarer and more valuable.

Can I refund an opened pack?

No. All pack openings are final. Once a pack is opened, the cards are yours. You can sell them back for store credit, but cash refunds are not available for opened packs.

Provably Fair

How is it provably fair?

We use a cryptographic HMAC-SHA256 system. Before you open, we commit a server seed hash. After opening, you can verify the seed, your client seed, and the nonce produce the exact rolls that determined your cards. No one can manipulate the outcome.

Can PokeRoll rig the results?

No. The server seed is committed (hashed) before you open. Changing it after commitment would produce a different hash, which you can detect. The entire system is designed so you do not have to trust us — you can verify independently.

What is a client seed?

A client seed is a value you provide (or use a default) that is combined with our server seed to generate your rolls. This ensures we cannot predetermine your outcome because we do not control your seed.

Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Shipments are processed within 24 hours. US domestic delivery typically takes 3–5 business days. International delivery takes 7–21 business days depending on destination.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide. International orders may be subject to customs duties and import taxes, which are the buyer’s responsibility.

How are cards packaged?

Every card is placed in a penny sleeve and toploader. Multi-card orders use cardboard reinforcement in padded mailers. High-value cards ($50+) ship in rigid boxes with signature required.

What if my shipment is lost or damaged?

All shipments are insured. If your package is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date with photos (for damage). We will reship or issue store credit.

Sell-Back & Store Credit

What are sell-back rates?

Sell-back is a flat 90% of market value, regardless of card price. Rates are published and may be adjusted over time.

Can I cash out store credit?

No. Store credit is non-transferable and can only be used to purchase packs on PokeRoll. It does not expire.

How are card values determined?

We use composite pricing from multiple independent sources including TCGPlayer, eBay sold listings, PriceCharting, and Cardmarket. Values update regularly to reflect current market conditions.

Account & Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Your payment information is processed securely by Stripe — we never store your full card number.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Contact support to request account deletion. Any cards in your binder can be shipped to you first. Store credit will be forfeited upon deletion. Personal data is removed within 30 days.
